A 95-acre lake provides an attractive setting for the day-use area with swimming, picnicking, hiking and boating (10 horse power limit). A historic covered bridge is located downstream.
The Green Mountain National Forest is a four season (some say six with mud and Black Fly season) recreation experience. The most popular season is autumn when the mountains are ablaze with color.
