Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge (Westbrook)

Stewart B. McKinney NWR is comprised of eight parcels of land that are stretched across Connecitcut's shoreline. The headquarters is located approximately 45 minutes south of Hartford and 30 minutes east of New Haven in Westbrook, CT.

Colebrook River Lake (Riverton)

A 750-acre lake is used as a standby water supply, and is available seasonally for fishing and boating. The lake is stocked with trout. A large boat ramp is available.

Mansfield Hollow Lake (MANSFIELD CENT)

A popular day-use park is managed by the State around a 450-acre lake. A large picnic area and playfields serve as a nucleus to miles of hiking and cross-country skiing trails. Boat ramp provided. Hunting and fishing opportunities available.

West Thompson Lake (North GrosvenordaleROSVENORD)

Excellent camping (seasonal) in a rustic campground with wooded sites near 200-acre lake. Modern bathroom with hot showers, trailer dump station and resident campground attendants.
